Clarion South 2007 bibliography

It’s been four years since Clarion South grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and plonked me firmly on the path to becoming a writer. After the four years I’ve had, a rather overgrown and circuitous path, it must be said, but a path nonetheless.

It’s astounding to see what my fellow classmates have achieved in that time. Together we’ve published, performed, and won over 170 short stories, novellas, plays, poems, articles, and awards. Otherwise known as the Dozois Paradox, it’s surely the best advertisement for anyone considering Clarion South 2012. Applications are open now. [UPDATE: Sadly, CS2012 is no longer.]

Many of the stories below are available to read online–explore and enjoy. Of the ones online, personal favourites include Peter M Ball’s On the Destruction of Copenhagen by the Warmachines of the Merfolk, Christopher Green’s Darwin’s Daughter, Jason Fischer’s Inventory, Ben Francisco’s Tío Gilberto and the Twenty-Seven Ghosts, JJ Irwin’s Still Living, Lyn Battersby’s The Mikarr Way, and Dan Braum’s The Moon and the Mesa. The last four were written at Clarion South 2007.
