green tea       dragonfly smacks water

between rock & root       almost comfortable

*

ant jaws work my elbow

*

through casuarina needles       a satellite

  1. Really like these together Chris – from the ambiguous use of ‘it’ in the first, the (dis)comforts of journey through to the movement of the dot of light giving a sense of rest to the viewer – great!

    Thanks, Andrew. Getting back into the groove of haiku, and particularly enjoying the challenge of stringing them together like this. Hosai does six to a page–might try that if I redraft this.
